A Personal Note from Michael Chaut
Founding-Producer, Monday Night Magic
Hi All,
About four months ago, I received a phone call from the Parent Assembly of the Society of American Magicians here in New York. It turns out I was nominated for the 2024 Magician of The Year award. Not only that, after tallying all
the votes, I have been selected as their "Magician of the Year."
Quite frankly, I'm still finding it hard to believe, however, it looks like this is really happening.
The Salute to Magic has awarded the prestigious "Magician of The Year Award" to some of the world's most renowned magicians, such as Slydini, John Scarne, Richiardi, David Copperfield, Harry Blackstone Jr., Harry Lorayne, George Schindler,
Imam, Eric DeCamps, The Great Tomsoni & Co., Devlin, John Calvert, and Dick Brooks and Dorothy Dietrich. I am deeply honored to be counted among these remarkable individuals.
When I first started Monday Night Magic back in June 1997, I never imagined the incredible journey that I would be undertaking.
Over the last 26 years, it's been an amazing ride filled with a lot of hard work. Along the way, I've
made many new friends.
None of our accomplishments would have been possible without the skills, talents, advice, and brilliant magic minds of Peter Samelson, Todd Robbins, Jamy Ian Swiss, and the late legendary, Frank Brents.
I share this award with all of them, along with every incredibly talented artist who has contributed their skills at our shows, not to mention those who have supported us since show
number 1. Special mention goes to Howard Hamburg and Ken Weber who have recently joined our production staff. This award is shared with each and every one of you.
Thank you all for your support and for sharing this incredible journey with me.
Sincerely yours,
MICHAEL CHAUT
